Internationally renowned for its International Festival, Edinburgh also plays host to a number of other prestigious festivals. For five weeks in the summer, Edinburgh enjoys a cultural explosion attracting performers and spectators from all over the world.

• Edinburgh Military Tattoo
  The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of Scotland's most iconic events presents a unique blen of music and military theatre set against the backdrop of a floodlit Edinburgh Castle. Since the event first took place in 1950, more than 12 million people have experienced this spectacular event and over 40 countries have been represented with an array of different bands and displays.
